Absolute Boyfriend (Drama)

This week I’m going to introduce the drama versions of the Absolute Boyfriend manga ^_^ This is the Taiwanese version.

Characters:

– Jiro Wang as Wan Ni Te

– Goo Hye Sun as Guan Xiao Fei

She looks so kawaii in this picture! xD

– Kun Da as Yan Zong Shi

There is also the Japanese version Zettai Kareshi:

Characters:

– Hayami Mokomichi as Tenjo Night

– Mizushima Hiro as Asamoto Soshi

– Aibu Saki as Izawa Riiko

Review:

I preferred the Taiwanese version because it followed the manga more closely (。◕‿◕。) but the Japanese version characters are so ❤

I found Goo Hye Sun’s acting in the Taiwanese version a little unnatural :/ Could it be due to the language barrier? She was speaking in Korean while the others were speaking in Chinese lol. So most of her acting was in the form of gestures and those that were trying to appear adorable @_@ But overall I liked the drama! Especially the Taiwan version’s! They made it like the manga! Ohyea both versions have a big difference with the manga in that the settings were that of the workplace while in the manga it was in the school.

Hetalia

From Wikipedia:

The series’ main presentation is as an often over-the-top allegory of political and historic events as well as more general cultural comparisons. Characters are personifications of countries. Both positive and negative cultural stereotypes form part of each character’s personality, though note some expectations differ since the series is based in Japanese cultural views of the world.

The character roster is large and far from complete, but the main cast could be said to be the countries which made up the Axis powers and Allies of World War II – namely Italy (North Italy in particular), Germany, Japan, the United States, England, France, Russia, Canada and China.

The main storyline’s events occur during World War II, but the vast majority of the comics take place during other historical events, modern holidays, or at no specific time whatsoever. The series often uses satire and light-hearted comedy to reinterpret well-known events as well as less common historical and cultural trivia. Historical, political, economic, and military interaction between countries is generally represented in Hetalia as social and romantic interactions and misunderstandings between the characters.

Review: This series had me lol-ing most of the time ^O^ Storyline was great! A relaxing and fun way to learn global history ^_^v  Could still laugh after rewatching episodes xD

Review:

I absolutely adored this live action drama! It followed the anime episodes so closely!!! The props and background were sugoi! It was fun watching the anime coming to life! ^_^ My favourite host in the anime was Tamaki but in the live action it was Kyoya! I felt that the live action brought out Kyoya’s character more and not to mention Daito Shunsuke is love~ episode 5 had me going kya~kya~dokidoki ♥‿♥

I used to think Yamamoto Yusuke and Miyano Mamoru (seiyuu of Suou Tamaki in the anime) looked a little alike ! But now after comparison I don’t think so :/

Uta no Prince-Sama

Anime of the Week is Uta no Prince-Sama! ♥

I love this anime because the characters sing so well! I love their songs! And of course because it has my favourite seiyuus Miyano Mamoru (Tokiya Ichinose) and Kenichi Suzumura (Masato Hijirikawa) ≧◡≦ I like Otoya (Takuma Terashima)’s voice too xD Otoya is so cute! J’adore his character the most (✿◠‿◠)

The guys are all unbelievably gorgeous!

Story: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uta_no_Prince-sama

With dreams of becoming a composer and someday writing a song for her favorite idol, Haruka enters the Saotome Academy, a prestigious performing arts school. If successful there, she’ll be able to join the Shining Agency after graduation. However, it won’t be so easy when Haruka is already surrounded by potential idols and composers. On top of that, her homeroom teacher is a current idol, the headmaster was a record-breaking singer, and the academy itself is a chaotic place where anything can happen. In the end at graduation, two students are to be paired up by the students’ choice, one taking the idol role and the other the composer role. After being paired up, the “pair” will sing a song that was both composed, written and sung by the pair. If successful, the pair will join and take the spot as the new Shining Agency debut artists. To make things more difficult, romance is prohibited in the school! Which prince of song will be paired up with Haruka? Uta no Prince Sama is an exciting, coming-of-age romantic comedy.

Class A

Haruka Nanami  (Voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro)

The seiyuu is so pretty right? ✿◕ ‿ ◕✿

Wishing to compose a song for her idol, Hayato, to sing someday, Haruka enrolls into Saotome Academy. Prior to her enrollment, Haruka has no experience in reading sheet music despite being able to play the piano (it was taught to her by her grandmother). As the story progresses, she shows that she has talent in composing songs. Because of her caring personality, she has the ability to move people’s hearts. Haruka was a sickly child and moved in with her grandmother in the country while she was young because the city made her “dizzy”.

Otoya Ittoki (Voiced by Takuma Terashima)

A student in S Class, he bears a strong resemblance to Haruka’s idol, Hayato. He’s said to be Hayato’s identical twin brother and seems to bear a complex from being in his brother’s shadow. He appears to be cold and aloof, as well as being a perfectionist. His character is reflected in his song, both his pitch and rhythm are perfect, but he gets criticised for having no “heart” in his music. However, everything is the fruit of  his hard work. Tokiya is Otoya’s (Class A) roommate. It is soon revealed that he is actually Hayato. Later in the story, he gradually warms up to Haruka and falls in love with her.

Review:

The SONGS are the best in the anime!!! Orpheus, Mirai Chizu, Believe My Voice… 😀 The main character was rather dull… Her eyes seem lifeless (no pupils?) щ(゚Д゚щ)compared to the other characters…I know it’s supposed to be like that in otome games so that you can imagine you are the MC but this is the ANIME! Even eyeless Tsukiko in Starry Sky had vast improvement in her design for the anime. Storyline was okay and I loved the male characters a lot! ❤
